I've been busy registering on various forms of social media recently, as I hear a lot about them, but rarely get the time to delve in.

First I tried Twitter, which lets you post a quick sentance or two about what you are doing right now (a bit like the status you can enter on Facebook).

You can find friends and family on Twitter if they are registered, or invite people to join but I still can't really see the point I'm afraid?

Next I tried creating a Technorati Profile which allows me to link up my various blogs (just this one, plus my Blogger mattpone.blogspot.com/ at the moment). Then Technorati indexs my posts and they become searchable by other Technorati users. This seems relatively sensible to me and I've already found some interesting posts by other members, that I doubt I would have found anywhere else.
